What is iBelieve?

iBelieve is a reminder to us at CBC that we are to live in true, powerful faith as Christians on daily basis. We often say things like “I believe God is in control”, or “I believe God wants the best for my life”, but do we actually LIVE what we claim to BELIEVE?

In Mark 9:24, a father comes to Jesus seeking a miracle for his son and Jesus tells him all things are possible to those who believe. For most of us we would have responded as this father “I believe!”; however, most of us would not have been as honest as this father when he continued “but help my unbelief”.

“I believe; Lord help my unbelief” is one of the most honest and freeing statements found in the Bible. Yes we believe, but how often do we admit that we have unbelief?

Carolina Baptist Church is approaching 2012 with a renewed faith and belief in our Lord, but also with the honesty of admitting that we need help with our unbelief. This year CBC is doing a study in the book of John, with the declaration that “I believe”; and with the prayer that we will strengthen that belief, and the Lord will help in the areas that we live in unbelief.
